My name is Jasmin Sanchez, I was born and raised in Chicago. Proudly to say a first-generation Mexican-American.

I have been working in childcare for about three years prior to working in a center daycare in which I have been for over two years.  I began my journey in the classroom with the two’s, but I have had the experience to work with infants up to preschoolers.

I volunteered at a nonprofit organization during high school for 2 years and worked there for 5 years, as I went to school full time and tried to start my workforce experience, working with children from 8 years old to 12 years old in the after/before school program.

My educational background is an Associates in Early Childhood Education I’m also certified in many trainings in the Early Childhood Education field, from Curriculum understanding and application to Safety measures in a facility.  First Aid and CPR knowledge and certified for over five consecutive years.

I always knew I wanted to work with children, I love to interact with them, conversations are genuine and can make your day at any moment.   Learning together is the greatest reward. I enjoy those moments when you capture learning through experiences and exploration.

In my free time, I find joy in hands-on activities (arts and crafts) and many of those are for work. I am an organized person, I like to know where everything is at.  I consider myself a reliable team player and a responsible person. I do not like leaving my work half done.  Serving my community and families is my biggest passion.

I am married and have a two-year-old boy (the joy of my life).  Some other activities I enjoy and try to do as much as possible are painting and going on nature walks. Recently I found that I also love camping and going on bike rides, which made me realize you always learn something new and it may be something out of your comfort zone and make it one of your top things to do.
